And So, It Begins.......

Gone is the Thanksgiving/Autumn decor and up goes the festive Christmas Adornments to our homes.
Merry Christmas to all.
Enjoy your decorating. Don't get too stressed out.
There's nothing like the feeling when your decor is done and you can relax for the weeks ahead and enjoy the activities with your family.
My sweet daughter in law's helped me tremendously this year. I have a back issue which put me in bed for a couple of days and was so disraught that I couldn't get my decorating done. My home was to be in the Christmas Tour and I would have had to cancel if they had not helped me.

The Tree and a peek at the sideboard:

I put my doll house out every year. This was a very special gift one year from my son, Joel. He heard me say that I had always wanted a doll house for Christmas when I was a little girl but never asked for it because I thought my parents couldn't afford it. I just never told them I wanted one. Imagine my surprise when there was this huge box under the tree for me about 5 years ago. I cried a river when I opened it. Now, how can it get better than that? I am so blessed by the thoughtfulness of my boys. They will all be wonderful dad's someday.

Merry Christmas Everyone! Let the upcoming weeks be a time of Joy and celebration with your Family!

Thanksgiving Day

We had such a lovely Thanksgiving Day with our children. Trey and his wife Caryn, Andrew and his wife Brittany, and our middle son Joel.
I used my new Johnson Brothers "Friendly Village" transferware dishes. They made a lovely table and buffet. I saw them last year at Dillards and Rich and I both loved them. He got them for me this year for Christmas. I was so exctied to get them out of the boxes! Not only did he get me the dinnerware, but also all the serveware. I think they are perfect for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Of course they can be used anytime at all if you like, but Fall and Winter are perfect for them.

Fall Decor

I haven't been doing a lot of scrapbooking lately. I have been enjoying my home. I am a home-maker at heart. When I was a little girl and people would ask, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" it was always the same; "I want to be a mommy!"
I love being a mommy and hope to be a grand-mommy in a few years. Two of our three sons have married this year. It has been an eventful year indeed!
I wanted to take a few pics of the Fall Decor, before we take it all down in a couple of days to start decorating for Christmas.
I love "blessing our home" with lovely sound of music, the scent of candles, the ambience of the flickering candle light and the warm glow of lamps placed in just the right places.

Here's just a few of the pics I took earlier today: It rained so it was a cloudy day.

And, Here is my Early Christmas Gift from my Sweet Hubby!
I can't tell you all how that man spoils me! He is just the best hubby anyone ever had!
And He's Mine.....ALL MINE! :)

This beautiful China Cabinet is so large and it holds a ton of stuff! And do I ever need it. I love, love, love dishes!

I'll upload Thanksgiving Pics later so you can see our Thanksgiving Table.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving with your families and friends.
